During the trek
The trek is fully escorted by Leonie Berger and guided by Subal Lopchan, a highly experienced local English-speaking tour leader, and includes:
International flights, visas, insurance, meals not listed, any optional tours and activities during free time, camera fees, excess baggage charges, showers on trek (if available), tips and gratuities, and items of a personal nature.
To get the most out of your adventure, it’s important that you have a level of fitness prior to departure that is commensurate with the grading of the trek.

March is typically sunny and dry, with average daytime temperatures around 30°C and an average minimum temperature of around 12°C. Nights can be quite cold comparatively, at times dipping to freezing temperatures, and as you gain altitude it will become much cooler with overnight temperatures dropping below zero.

Day 1 Arrive Kathmandu (1360m)
On arrival in Kathmandu transfer to the Hotel Shangri-La to check in, attend a trek briefing, and gather with the group for a welcome dinner.
Day 2 Kathmandu (1360m)
Visit Bodhnath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist shrines in the world, and Pashupatinath, the most famous Hindu temple in the country located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River.
Spend the remainder of the day exploring Thamel or shopping for last minute items.
In the late afternoon you will be issued with your trek pack and be provided with information for the next morning’s departure.
Your evening is free to enjoy an evening meal at one of the local restaurants.
Day 3 Shyauli Bazaar (1160m)
After an early morning breakfast and hotel checkout, you are transferred to the domestic airport for a morning flight to Pokhara, on which you will see spectacular views of the main Himalayan chain to the north, including the 8000m peaks of Manaslu and Annapurna.
On arrival in Pokhara you will be transferred to Nayapul where your trek commences.
Day 4 Ghandruk (1940m) 5 hours walking
Follow a well-defined path of stone flags winding its way through fields of wheat and millet to Ghandruk, the largest village of the region. Appreciate the mountain views of Annapurna South, Machapuchare and Gangapurna.
Day 5 Tadapani (2450m) 4 hours walking
Leaving the village of Ghandruk behind, your trail winds through forests, across streams, and passes small waterfalls as you enjoy the views of Annapurna South, Machapuchare, and Lamjung Himal before reaching Tadapani.
Day 6 Bayli Kharka (3450m) 7 hours walking
Climb gradually though open countryside before reaching a small pass where your trail descends through rhododendron forest to an open clearing known as Bayli Kharka.
Day 7 Chistibung (2950m) 4 hours walking
Descend through open clearings and thick forest to reach the pastures of Chistibung where you will view the rolling hills of central Nepal.
Day 8 Khopra Ridge (3600m) 3 hours walking
Observe the changing vegetation signaling the gaining altitude on a trek through forest and alpine type vegetation. Arrive at Khopra, where in the afternoon you will walk to see the deepest gorge in the world and one of the major rivers in Nepal – the Kali Gandaki, as well as the magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Nilgiri, Varashikar and Annapurna South.
Day 9 Swanta (2220m) 5 hours walking
Enjoy a leisurely walk, descending through forest and farmland to the village of Swanta.
Day 10 Ghorepani (2860m) 3 - 4 hours walking
Ascend to the village of Ghorepani, where you will take in views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. Ghorepani is a popular overnight stop with trekkers as the views from the vantage point of nearby Poon Hill offer one of the best views of this mountain panorama in Nepal.
Day 11 Poon Hill (3170m) 6 hours walking
Wake early to capture a glorious sunrise at Poon Hill, one of the most spectacular viewing points in the world. Appreciate the panoramic views of the mountains whilst taking some scenic shots and group photos. This will be your last opportunity for photos with the people who supported your adventure as you say farewell to the crew.
Day 12 Pokhara (850m)
Descend to Phedi where your private transport awaits to drive you to Pokhara and your accommodation at the Hotel Barahi Pokhara (850m). This is a great opportunity to unwind in the hotel, or to take a relaxing walk or boat ride around Phewa Lake.
Day 13 Hotel Barahi, Pokhara (850m)
Use your free time to explore Pokhara.
Day 14 Kathmandu (1360m)
Tuck into breakfast before checking out of the hotel for your flight back to Kathmandu.
After checking into the Hotel Shangri-La, the afternoon is free for you to spend any Nepalese Rupees you may have left. Attend the group farewell dinner to say goodbye to your newfound friends.
Day 15 Flight home
Prepare to head to the international airport for your return flight home, or stay on another night to enjoy the sites at your own expense.
