Fitness training tailored to your trek

To get the most out of your adventure it’s important that you are mentally and physically prepared. By including training with Life & More High Performance Training* in your total package price, we ensure that you have the necessary level of fitness before you leave home.

 

 

Once you have decided on the adventure trek that is right for you, we will book you in for a health and fitness assessment with Life & More High Performance Training. From thereon in you will participate in weekly group fitness classes to improve your strength and endurance. You will also take part in weekend bush walks, each six to eight hours in length. These weekend bush walks are the perfect time to test out walking equipment such as boots, socks, backpacks and walking poles. It is also your chance to get to know your travelling companions.

 

 

A lead-time of 12 weeks to 6 months is needed, depending on the duration of the trek, to ensure you will be able to successfully complete the trek and cope with the rigours of daily trekking, often in harsh and unpredictable conditions and changes in altitude. If you need additional training, personal training sessions will be available to you at an additional cost.
